Exhibits

The Children’s Museum is developmentally appropriate for children age 7 and under, however we find that many older children enjoy the museum when accompanying younger visitors. Additionally, we have programs designed to include older children. Please feel free to call us if you have questions about the nature of our exhibits or programs.

1st Floor

Congress Park – Climb into our tree house and find the habitats of various local animals, surround yourself in a life sized bubble, or create music of your own in our child sized replica of Congress Park.
Sponsored by: Saratoga Springs Rotary Club, NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation, Kate Wimpfheimer-Antoine and Robert Antoine, International Paper, Sandy Hill Foundation, Saratoga Springs Lions Club, and Linda and Michael Toohey.

Harvey and Company – Are you ready to explore the world of bones and skeletons? Learn how bones protect our organs, see what a fracture looks like, discover how an x-ray works and more!
Sponsored by: Community Care Physicians, ImageCare Saratoga, and Saratoga Medical Pediatrics (Dr. Emanuel Cirenza).

Lillian Andrew’s Attic - Imagine yourself as child in 1885 in our "attic" with original architecture. You can play with replica wooden toys, pretend to cook food in the fireplace, have a tea party and so much more!
Sponsored by:

Saratoga Trolley – Jump aboard our trolley and let your imagination run wild. The trolley route is mapped from Saratoga to Albany, but we’ve met travelers going to places such as Vermont, Miami, or even Africa. With a little imagination, the possibilities are endless!
Sponsored by: Charter One Bank, and Ronald McDonald House Charities

Spa Little Theatre – Places everyone! Bring your imagination and stories to life in our Little Theatre. Visitors to our museum “stage” over 120 productions here each year.
Sponsored by: Glens Falls Foundation

2nd Floor

Adirondack Trust Bank – Pretend to be a bank teller, create and answer your own math problems, and use the abacus to count your money.
Sponsored by: Adirondack Trust Company

Central Market Grocery Store and Post Office – A trip to the grocery store was never so much fun! This child sized grocery store features many of the items you would find in a real grocery store. You can weigh produce, follow sample shopping lists, and operate our real cash register. After you’ve finished grocery shopping, go check for mail and “send” packages all around the world.
Sponsored by: Price Chopper

Construction Zone – Ever wonder what it looks like inside the walls of your house? Check out this exhibit and see for yourself! While you’re here, practice your own building skills using blocks, legos, and tools.
Sponsored by: Allerdice Building Supply

Fire Truck and Fire House – Slide down the pole in the fire house, put on a real firefighters coat, jump onto the fire truck and you’re off. It’s your turn to save the day!
Sponsored by: The Peters Family, and State Farm Insurance Companies

Happy’s Diner – Take a step back in time into Happy’s Diner. Experience a Saratoga diner from the 1950’s where you can serve and “eat” your own creations. Follow the food pyramid on the wall to create a nutritious menu and practice your sorting abilities with the different food groups.
Sponsored by: MVP Health Plan

School House – Finally, a school house where learning always involves fun! Create your own moving sculpture, brush up on the colors of the rainbow, and put together magnetic masterpieces.
Sponsored by: The Fort Miller Group and Van Patten Ferrara.
